In games like WH3 I only raid for attrition immunity, the gold gained (even buffed through the roof) usually only covers a fraction of an army’s upkeep. Not only does this offer a much more diverse resource and trade system, it also allows raiding to be super useful in this game. It splits resources up into Wood & Stone for construction, Food and Bronze for Units, and gold as a general currency (very good for trading for other resources, or paying gold to speed up construction). One final selling point: the economy system. One of them is even a horde faction and yet it might be my favorite in Troy. It offers the two most unique, and imo fun, factions. Not just in terms of units (flying, monsters, etc) it also adds entirely new game mechanics (becoming a follower of Cerberus, hydra, or grif) and transforms the campaign map with tons of new mythological features.įor the faction DLC I’d definitely recommend the Rheaus and Memnon one. Mythic mode is a bit pricey for a DLC, however it is justified by the scope of changes it brings. I liked Odysseus the most for historical, his unit roster’s ranged capabilities and ranged bodyguard made it an absolute blast The generals still get skill trees and they can customize their bodyguard units as they level up.
